Former Miss Nevada USA Faces Meth-Trafficking Charges

Katie Rees, maybe better known as former Miss Nevada USA who was stripped of her crown in 2006 after nude photos surfaced, is in new legal hot water.

Katherine Nicole Rees, 30, has now been charged with possessing and selling meth, according to court documents obtained by E! News. Most of her previously legal troubles entail traffic violations, which she had to pay fines for. But the Justice Court filed more serious charges against her Monday, totaling four counts: two counts of conspiracy to violate uniform controlled substances, one count of sale of controlled substance and one count of trafficking in controlled substance.

The court issued a warrant for Rees Wednesday, but her attorney has filed a motion to have it quashed. A court date has been set for July 13. In the meantime, the warrant remains outstanding.

"We will review the evidence diligently and respond accordingly," her attorney, Adam Wax, told E! News in a statement.
