Glastonbury 2024 Tickets How To Get Them, Dates, Price & More

Publish date: 2024-04-02

Get your fingers at the ready, folks, because Glastonbury 2024 tickets go on sale soon. Like, very soon. We're talking tonight at 6pm.

Now, we all know that securing passes to Glastonbury Festival feels like you've overcome some hugely significant obstacle course of stress and anticipation, in a fingers-can't-click-fast-enough ordeal. It's the sort of thing people take a half-day off work for just so they can go about trying to achieve it without being interrupted by oblivious bosses. Those in the know realise that in order to get Glastonbury 2024 tickets you really have to plan ahead. It's a system of failure and success – the more times you do it, the better you get.

Some might have even thought that their chances to buy tickets this year were significantly slimmer, since the registration window for tickets closed on 30 October 2023 – but in a surprise move the festival has reopened registration and moved the ticket sale back two weeks, making a very last-minute announcement on 2 November (when tickets were originally supposed to go on sale).

In part, it read: “Unfortunately, it has come to light that some individuals hoping to buy tickets for 2024 have discovered after Monday's registration deadline that they are no longer registered, despite believing they were. Out of fairness to those individuals, we will be re-opening the window for registration at 12 noon on Monday, 6th November. It will remain open until 5pm on Monday, 13th November. We urge everyone hoping to buy a ticket to Glastonbury 2024 to either check their existing registration https://glas.to/lookup now or submit new registration, which remains free of charge, at https://glastonburyregistration.co.uk, from 12 noon on Monday.”

Glasto 2023 is now a distant memory, with performers like Elton John, Guns N' Roses and Lizzo – so the next thing on everyone's mind is next year's concert.

Rumours of Taylor Swift as a headliner may have been squashed, but we're sure 2024's lineup will be enough for another sell-out – plus, the likes of Dua Lipa and Madonna are now tipped to be on the bill.

So, ready to start thinking about getting tickets for Glastonbury 2024? Here's everything you need to know including details on when tickets go on sale, how to register and more.

How to get Glastonbury 2024 tickets

First things first, if you want a Glastonbury 2024 ticket you need to make sure you are registered – the cut-off date was originally 30 October, but with the new extension you've got time to do it (if you haven't already). So, between 12 noon on Monday 6 November and 5pm on Monday 13 November is your moment.

During registration, you're asked for basic details and a passport-style photo. For anyone who has previously registered, you don't usually need to do this again – but it's worth going back and checking, since some people's registrations have not been renewed this year (hence the extension).

You can check an existing registration at https://glas.to/lookup or submit new registration at https://glastonburyregistration.co.uk. Registering is completely free.

When you go to buy tickets, have your registration number ready to go, as you'll need to input it (and anyone else's) when you buy them. You will also need everyone's postcode and full name – a good strategy is to have this all typed out somewhere, so you can easily copy and paste it when the time comes.

What if I don't get tickets?

There is a sliver of hope – following the first sale of Glastonbury tickets, there is usually an official resale the following April, to account for the ticket sales that have not been fulfilled (i.e. people who paid their deposit but didn't pay their full balance by April).

This will take place at some point following 8 April 2024. Usually, registration opens again between the first ticket sales and the resale – so if you haven't registered, you may be able to try for the resale.

Remember, the only place you can buy Glastonbury Tickets is via glastonbury.seetickets.com – any other reseller is not legit. All tickets are tied to each person's registration, with a passport-style picture on it, so independent resale of tickets is not allowed.

What are the Glastonbury 2024 dates?

Glastonbury 2024 will be held from Wednesday 26 June to Sunday 20 June 2024.

Where will Glastonbury 2024 be held?

Of course, everyone knows Glastonbury Festival takes place at Worthy Farm, just outside the village of Pilton in Somerset. It's held on the land that belongs to Michael Eavis, the festival's co-founder and a dairy farmer.
